The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Plant Department stores and spares, ensuring efficient stock control and availability, and will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and materials.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and perform regular stock counts.
• Issue parts and spares as required by the Plant Department.
• Ensure proper storage and housekeeping of all stock items.
• Maintain stock records and update systems accordingly.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments where required.

Minimum Requirements:

The Junior Mine Planner / Administrator will support the planning, scheduling, and optimisation of open-cast mining operations. The role focuses on ensuring that production targets are met through accurate planning, monitoring, and technical support to the operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning & Scheduling: develop daily, weekly, and monthly mine plans | translate long-term plans into practical operational schedules | plan overburden removal, coal exposure, and haul road development.
• Production Monitoring: track actual production against planned targets | identify deviations and recommend adjustments | provide daily planning instructions to supervisors.
• Pit Design Support: assist with bench layouts, ramp designs, and pit planning | ensure designs comply with geotechnical and safety standards.
• Data & Survey Integration: update plans using survey data | monitor pit progress and calculate volumes | ensure accuracy and integrity of planning data.
• Technical Work: generate pit layouts, production maps, and volume calculations | support optimisation initiatives and operational improvements.
